Delta Nu Chapter

Longwood University

The Delta Nu Chapter has two local philanthropies. Every other Sunday, a group of sisters takes a 25-minute drive down to Keysville, Virginia to a nursing home called The Waylands. While visiting with the residents, we play bingo and make crafts. We also take the time to walk around the nursing home, talk with residents about their past, and build relationships with them. We learn about them on a personal level and share stories with them.

Our second local philanthropy involves our participation in Adopt a Highway; adopting a part on Route 460. Delta Nu cleans this highway every other Sunday.

We have our Local Walk to End Alzheimer's every Fall, it kicks off Oktoberfest Weekend at Longwood University.

Our Ultra Violet Event is SKetti Night, where sisters sell $5 tickets to students, the staff at Longwood, and parents to eat unlimited spaghetti and garlic bread!

We also have sisters who volunteer for FACES, Habitat for Humanity, and for other organizations' philanthropies.
